Our mission is simple, alleviating poverty for families in third world countries.
According to UNICEF, 22,000 children die each day due to poverty.
For the 1.9 billion children from the developing world, there are 640 million without adequate shelter (1 in 3). Everyday we work towards lowering these numbers.
We approach this task using our Full Circle Approach to Giving. What this means is that we take a handcrafted product from a third-world country, and through the sale of this product, address poverty in a SUSTAINABLE WAY.
This model allows us to address the issue of poverty in two different ways:
- First through economic development, by employing and providing a fair wage to the Nicaraguan artisans that craft our hammocks.
- Second through sustainable aid, where we provide a house for a family that has never had a place to call home.
With a purchase of our hammock you join the Power of 100 and become 1 of 100 people responsible for building a home for a family in need.
